DIVERSITY

We provide high-level advice to help organisations address the critical diversity and equality management challenges companies and organisations face today.

We don't just tick the box

Often organisations receive diversity advice that is too narrowly focused on the law, or that takes no account of the realities of introducing and managing greater diversity and inclusion into the workplace.  Merely fulfilling the requirements of the law without making real changes to the way things are done, people’s behaviours and understanding is likely to bring few benefits, and to result in a fast staff turnover that takes you back to square one.

Our approach is not simply a legalistic ‘tick-box’ exercise, or a matter of introducing a few different-looking faces into your organisation.  Our experience shows us that a sound approach to diversity and inclusion has five distinct stages, which, if followed properly, can lead to a changed organisation that functions much better all around.

Understand the business benefits of a diverse workforce and build your reputation as a beacon employer. Attract and retain high calibre people from a diverse pool of candidates. Look at your recruitment and retention policies for every level of employee, right up to board level. Work out where you could open up your organisation to a wider pool of talent and potential.

MANAGING

CHANGE

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION LEADERSHIP

Having new employees from backgrounds you are less familiar with means accommodating different opinions, different ways of doing things and sometimes disagreements. You will need to be prepared, as an organisation, to manage challenges and conflicts.

For diversity to be truly embedded in an organisation the benefits need to be understood, implemented, and promoted at the most senior levels and then cascaded throughout the organisation. We can help you consult and train all your staff on what to expect from increased diversity & inclusion within your organisation.  Diversity has to be a two-way process – listening to your staff, but also preparing them for what to expect, so they are open to change, and enjoy the benefits.

TALENT MANAGEMENT

Importance of good leadership is vital particularly during period of change and development. Coaching can provide senior and middle managers with insight into the business benefits of diversity and how they can build this into their leadership roles. Team coaching or executive coaching may be needed to manage a particular period of conflict, or to help give individual employees the skills and experience they need to create inclusive working environments.
